TURIN-MILAN high-speed line renewal works began
TURIN-MILAN high-speed line renewal works began.
During the month of February, works began on the renewal of the Turin-Milan high-speed line, from 68 + 200 km to 84 + 000 km
The contract belongs to the works covered by the Framework Agreement no. 46/2018 North West Area of the Turin district and provides for the renewal by total removal of the ballast for 15,800 m of the Turin-Milan high speed/high capacity line, from km 68 + 200 to km 84 + 000 as well as the CWR destressing for about 31,600 m of rail.
The works will have a duration of 150 days and will be carried out in a night-time interruption regime. The speed of reactivation of the line will be equal to 115 km/h and will reach, thanks to following increases, the full speed (300 km/h) within about 7 days.
